Educational Conferences/Activities

Wednesday mornings are devoted to educational didactics for students, residents and faculty. Residents’ pagers are collected by staff to prevent interruptions. Faculty members provide hospital coverage. Our academic protected time follows the schedule below:
  • 7:00 a.m. Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
  • 8:00 a.m. Grand Rounds (light breakfast is provided)
  • 9:00 a.m. Resident Lecture Series
  • 10:00 a.m. Gyn ONC Conference, Primary Care Rounds, or CREOG Study Sessions
  • 11:00 a.m. Labor Management Conference, Pathology Conference, Practice Management, or Coding Workshop

In addition to this educational half-day, other teaching activities are as follows:

  • Morning report conference occurs daily at 7:00 a.m. All residents and medical students on the service meet with an attending and discuss interesting patients.
  • High Risk Obstetric Teaching Rounds are conducted daily Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 9:00 am.
  • Low risk obstetric and gynecology teaching rounds are conducted daily starting at 7:30 am.
